Charles “Skip” Pitts

This weekend on T-Bone’s Prime Cuts, we’ll feature tracks from  Sam & Dave,  Suzi Ragsdale,  Bill Withers, Free, Ry Cooder, The Secret Sisters,  Barefoot Servants, Van & Titus, Alice Cooper, Tab Benoit, Pure Prairie League, The Who  and David Lee Roth.

We’ll also pay tribute to the late, great Skip Pitts.  Charles “Skip” Pitts passed away just a few days ago at the age of 65.   He played with Isaac Hayes for nearly 4 decades, and was  the man behind that unforgettable wah-wah  guitar on Hayes’ “Theme from Shaft.”  We’ll play that cut during the show… and we’ll do a more in-depth feature on him in the coming weeks.
