1st Anniversary Show- Repeat performance!

As of May 2012, T-Bone’s Prime Cuts has been on the air for one year!  In case you missed the celebration back in May, you can catch it now!!

We’ll spin tracks from  The Who,  Elizabeth Cook,  Freddie King, Steve Cropper, Jerry Reed, John Oates Band,  Christine Ohlman, Paul Thorn, Chelle Rose, Black Sabbath, Christopher Todd Davis and Bruce Hornsby & Ricky Skaggs tackle an old funk classic!

We’ll also have Happy Anniversary wishes from several artists throughout the hour!!!

T-Bone’s Prime Cuts airs in the 2nd hour of the Redbud Radio 3-hour block on WICR, 88.7 FM in Indianapolis, IN at 1:00 AM Eastern Time – Saturday night/Sunday morning.  

You can also hear us Sunday evenings at  8:00 PM Eastern  on DJCR 1670 AM in San Antonio, TX.

Summer!

Summer is here!  And it’s going to be a HOT one!  So, sit back, relax, grab the beverage of your choice and celebrate Summer with T-Bone’s Prime Cuts!

We’ll feature Summer songs from The Who, Sly & The Family Stone, Will Scott, Alice Cooper, The Lovin’ Spoonful, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Big Brother & The Holding Company, Nick Gilder, Y&T, War, The Beach Boys and The Isley Brothers.

And since the 4th of July was just a few days ago, we’ll end the program with a block of songs about America from Ray Charles, Johnny Cash and Jimi Hendrix.

This weekend on T-Bone’s Prime Cuts, we’ll feature tracks from  Sam & Dave,  Suzi Ragsdale,  Bill Withers, Free, Ry Cooder, The Secret Sisters,  Barefoot Servants, Van & Titus, Alice Cooper, Tab Benoit, Pure Prairie League, The Who  and David Lee Roth.

We’ll also pay tribute to the late, great Skip Pitts.  Charles “Skip” Pitts passed away just a few days ago at the age of 65.   He played with Isaac Hayes for nearly 4 decades, and was  the man behind that unforgettable wah-wah  guitar on Hayes’ “Theme from Shaft.”  We’ll play that cut during the show… and we’ll do a more in-depth feature on him in the coming weeks.
